Innoptec PDLC in film: technology and privacy in transparency 

Designed for laminated glass

LPF films are supplied custom-cut and with electrical contacts (“bus bars”) applied, in sheets up to 1.8 metres wide and lengths of up to 3 metres (standard) or more.
If the customer has the expertise to apply the electrodes themselves, Innoptec can also supply LPF films in rolls of up to 30 metres in standard widths of 1.2 metres, 1.5 metres and 1.8 metres. Achieving high final optical qualities, particularly for the product intended for laminated glass, requires equal attention to quality in all stages of switchable film production using PDLC technology.
Innoptec, thanks to its twenty years of full chain experience and pilot laboratory equipment, is able to reproduce, on an industrial pilot scale, the procedures followed by glass companies and test adhesives, sealants, silicones and other materials chosen for the final installation phase.
Innoptec's customer support allows for many mistakes - and the associated financial losses - to be avoided along the entire supply chain.

The programme for supplying the film for lamination between glass panes.

The sheets are cut using computerised equipment that receives the drawing of the shapes (Autocad software) directly via the Internet, a service that will be popular among architects and designers, as well as glass technicians.

1200 mm, 1525 mm, 1800 mm

Standard formats

Laser cut rectangular sheets, according to required dimensions up to 30 linear metres (rolls), minimum area 0.5 sqm

Cutting and customisation

Cutting of curved shapes and elements smaller than 0.5 sqm, pre-cutting of the electrode strip, application of the electrodes to positions required by the customer from a range of standard combinations

 

Power supply

Transformers and dimmers to power switchable sheets and 9V battery power supplies for A4 and A3 demonstration sheets

Colours

FILM is available in ice and pastel grey. Grey is available on request

Innoptec R&D

Quality and technology are intertwined in the continuous race towards perfection. Switchable FILM with PDLC technology for laminated glass achieves well-balanced final optical qualities. Application in double-glazing is only recommended if the manufacturing technician is particularly experienced, and in conditions where the laminate containing the LPF film is placed on inside face of the rear (interior) glass.

Every film supplied by Innoptec has been electrically tested beforehand.
